The ‘Curry Fever’ name was carefully selected by the Anand family 30 years ago in 1978. The founders were Mr Kundanlal Anand (master chef) along with his wife and son’s. Although Mr Kundanlal Anand passed away in 1998 his son’s Mr Sunil Anand and Mr Anil Anand have continued to run his empire. The extended Anand family is very well known and established in the catering and hospitality world with many restaurants.

 

The Curry Fever menu has been created with much expertise comprising a North Indian Punjabi cuisine and East African dishes. These dishes have been and are still being enjoyed by many generations of people including royalty and many heads of state.

Since opening The Curry Fever Restaurant in 1978 the restaurant has achieved an array of accolades including ‘Best Indian restaurant in the midlands’ by the good curry guide 2001-2002, ‘Top thirty: Best in Britain’ by BIBA 2004 and the reigning ‘Curry capital winners’ for Leicester 2007.

Today The Curry Fever is one of the most successful Indian restaurants in Leicester seating up to 120 people spread across a main restaurant floor and a private function room. Being located on the ‘Golden Mile’ it is in the heart of Leicester and has a very good passing trade comprising of a multicultural clientele.  Although Leicester has a range of over 100 restaurants this prestigious restaurant will always stand out for its excellence!
